DVDFab will not burn to disk.

I have downloaded and installed DVDFab Copy version 9.1.0.6. It creates back ups of my movies to my hard drive just fine, but will not burn the image to a blank disk. The software hangs up and will not progress past 0% completion. Can someone lend a little insight to the problem? Thanks in advance.

Try changing the burn engine to the DVDFab engine and slow the burn speed to 4x. You could really do with some better blank media too.

Robert_Conklin:In addition to 90312's recommendations your using old firmware with your drive so update your drive's firmware often they make new firmware to work with more brands of disks and fix any bugs.Read all directions on installing new firmware and go to the drives internet sight to get it.You can also burn the disk with img burn if Fab won't work.Your using A102 version of Firmwear update to A103 or if there's a latter version for your drive.

GLENNS AND 90312...thank you for the info. I have completed changing the burn speed. I am currently using the DVDFab burn engine. I tried to change to IMGBurn, but am told that the software cannot be found. Is that a seperate program? I am currently trying to find the firmware update for my drive, but cannot find it. Even on the MFG website. Any suggesstions

ImgBurn must be installed to the default location for DVDFab to find and use it. I assume you've downloaded it and installed it on your system right?

Here's the free img burn program link http://download.imgburn.com/SetupImgBurn_2.5.8.0.exe
Once you download and run the program click on (write image file to disk) now up on the top look for tools click on this then drive then check for firmware updates so if their are updates it brings you to a download page for your burner drives firmware this is a easy way to do it.If their are no updates then don't worry about it.

Now go into fab settings and select Img burn for dvd burner and then do the same for blu ray burner now the img burn burner will load from the fab program when the burn is called for make sure you put a blank disk in the drive before hand.

In img burn settings check preform OPC before write see screen image this will do a test burn on the blank disk in a area not used to set your laser power to the disk your using so it will work with more brands of disks this sometimes helps.

Did you used imgburn too? Personnally the burn of my blu rays don't work with this burn engine (seems to crash for the finalization, but with no entries in the logs), and vso engine is faster for me than dvdfab one...(half time less)

Nope, your not the only one. I am in the process of finding the firmware upgrade for my burner. Once that is installed and tested, I will let you know the outcome.

I have not tried IMGBurn yet. I have to download it while I am at home, the firewall at my job prevents it. I was going to try the VSO engine tonight and see if there is a different outcome.

Robert all you have to really do is get better blank recording disks.Your log shows error's that your drive can't write to your disk the disks your using are crap i am telling you this to save time as theirs no guarantee that new firmware will help but good disks will fix your problem right now.

If you need firmware for your drives, you should be able to find it here.

You will need to know the manufacturer and the model number of your drive.
