back up disc locking up

new to the forum an hope this is the right place for this
I've been using FAB for awhile and LOVE it,that said heres my problem,
I'm using pd.verion and am current on the beta updates,have'nt had any problems readind the org. DVD or putting to hard drive on the norm only taking main movie compress to DVD-5{no codes/warning/errors}using NERO-6 to burn my back up,all seem fine,but when playing the back up it seems to picsleup and will freeze up and do'se it on all four DVD player in the house ,any help would be GREAT Thanks

Exactly what version are you using?
The latest is 6.2.1.8.

What disk are you using?
What speed are you burning?

Can you post a log?

Same disc/movie, other discs work no problem ? Did you change media recently. Best guess the burn was bad, did you try reburning a disk Does the extracted files play fine on the puter ?


EDIT: FastFingers Gruñón ....... all yours ....:except I would RECOMMEND to x-storm that he use ImgBurn, best burner on the planet ....D

current beta 6.2.1.6{havent loaded 6.2.1.8 yet}
using HP DVD+R disc's at x8 burn speed
seems to act up at chapter change's been doing this since AUG./SEPT.
no media changes
no proble w/older back ups playing,have'nt tried playing on puter

As stated by X69 imgburn is by far the best choice for burning dvds.

HP disc are usually CMC M01.
While not the worst disc on the market they are by far not the best.

Update to 6.2.1.8.
If you could post a log it might help. At the moment I do not have any further guesstamashions as to what the problem might be.

not just HP but memorex,vibrem as well
not sure wich/wear to get the LOG your asking about ??
clicked on the link X69 has about imgburn then to the down load sight not sure wich one to down load,at this point I'll try anything...lol
??? am I remembering correct isnt/was'nt imgburn part of FAB6 upgade from 5??

I think Version 2500 is the current one for imgburn.
The log should be in you Documents and Setting in a DVDFab folder

Here is a link on how to use imgburn with dvdfab.
Easy to do and well worth the effort.
