DVDFAB DVD COPY v9.x and Win 7

    Hi guys,

I'm having trouble getting DVDFab DVD Copy v9.x to work with Win 7 Pro 64-bit. I installed the latest version (v9.1.1.5) without any issues but when I tried to open it, all I get is the minimized application on the taskbar. I don't even get the splash screen when the application usually starts. I waited a few minutes and tried to "open" the program from the taskbar but nothing happens. Feeling a little frustrated, I uninstalled and re-installed with a downgraded version 9.0.7.2 but even that didn't work. And I didn't get any error messages when trying to open either version. Any ideas on how to fix this?

If you don't have ccleaner download the free version, uninstall DVDFab, run ccleaner on the registry a couple times until it finds no errors. Reinstall 9.1.1.5.

esheets, start your own thread and don't post your issue in someone else's thread if it is unrelated.

Just un-installed v9.1.1.5, ran ccleaner a few times, re-installed DVDfab and it still doesn't run normally. Any other suggestions?

Are you installing and running as 'Administrator'?

Ran Windows Update about a dozen times until it's out of Important and Optional Updates. Re-installed DVDFAB as Administrator and executed the program as Administrator. The program doesn't do anything else but stay minimized in the system taskbar. *sigh* If anyone from the company is reading this, I could sure use some help please. :*(

Can you right click on the minimized icon on the task bar and open the program? Or maximize it?

Unfortunately, right-clicking on the minimized program icon does nothing. Upgraded DVDFab to v9.1.1.9 but that didn't help either. Submitted a help request to the company and they suggested that I turn off my antivirus/firewall program when I use DVDFab. I have McAfee Internet Security pre-installed on my new Dell, a program that I'm not familiar with (long-time Norton user here). Even so, I didn't see anything regarding program permissions listed within McAfee. I'm at my wits end now...Could anyone offer up any other advice?
