TRouble With all Disney fast Play movies

Im Trying to copy my Disney movies and change the playback titles of the dvd to "play first menu first" but some how everytime i burn a dvd it skips the first menu and starts the movie automatically which is something i dont want. What can i do ? Disney fast play movies have to many trailers, and i dont like them i tried doing it in custom mode and deleting the trailers but i still cant go to the main menu and by doing that the dvd takes like a minute to load on my dvd player when i do this option , Some help please?

You can try main movie mode or customize mode and just select the main title and preferred audio track only (and if you like, subtitle of your choice).
Do not retain the menu or any extra features
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

First, I love the Disney "Fast Play" features, if they fit on a 4.7 disc comfortably. In some cases I'll burn a DL, because I want the feature but mostly the movie titleset (VTS) itself is over 6.5gb. Most of them are SL at 85% compression (i.e. 15% compressed) or better.

      Steps:
      • I extract the DVD's to HD using Full Disc using the BEST DVD extraction tool on the planet .... DVDFab
      • I then open the extracted folder with PgcEdit, edit program chain, remove unwanted stuff
      • Then Open with Shrink, compress as required, create ISO on HD
      • Mount ISO an play with soft player to check the playback order
      • Burn the ISO with ImgBurn

In most of the recent Disney movie "Fast Play" menus, the DEFAULT button is set to go to the "Main Menu". I actually change my "Fast Play" menu to default to the Fast Play button and activate after 7 seconds to play the Previews. The kids like to watch the Previews ...

In most cases the "Fast Play" menus is accessed quickly, i.e. "Bolt". But on some of the older releases i.e. "Tarzan & Jane" there is quite a bit of Previews and no Fast Play.

If you learn to use PgcEdit YOU can determine exactly where you want your movies to START. Can be either at a Menu of a Title, I usually start most of mine at the MPAA rating, then go to movie. But if space allows it I will keep previews and make sure I can do "Next" from the remote. As sometimes there are "Prohibited User Operations" (PUO) on the Previews that need manual fixing.

A great tutorial in learning "First Play" in the Program Chain (PGC) is CLICK HERE.

It looks hard at first but well worth the learning curve, cuz you can do so much MORE !!

EDIT: Well maineman you beat me this time

      Cheers,

Yeah, but I had a lot less to offer for advice...

The main menu you are looking for is embedded in the fast play title. I had the original Tinkerbell out and handy so I gave it a try. Using Nero Show Time I found that the menu is title 71 but 71 is not listed in customize? On this disk title 66 is the one gives the fast play choice and thought that it might branch to either the menu or the bonus stuff. I burned title 1 and 66 to an RW and sure enough the movie comes up in the fast play menu, times out and goes directly to the movie menu. This may or may not be what you want but it is a close as I can come. Maybe the program AlienX69 refers to can ferret the menu out of that title?

Your welcome, hope it works out for you, I have been using PgcEdit for many years, its a great tool. Best Pgc Editor on the planet. I think r0lz has implemented the need to make a small donation to use, its well worth the donation. I usually donate once a year to help further development on PgcEdit. I recommend you do the same if you use the tool as I do, no every DVD backup.
