Yes, but you hava a dual core CPU and a separate video card. I'm not sure how well my old computer would handle even a basic video card, lol.

I just installed this beta version, and I am pleased to report that it installed and started without any problems. I started to copy disk 1 of Rush: Snakes And Arrows Live, and while it is very slow (0.63 MB/s) it is working. That speed seems normal for the last few versions of Fab 9 on this computer though, and I have not specified a copy \ burn speed. In fact, I have not change any of the default settings on any of them.

This is however, the first version since 9.0.6.3 that did not crash during installation, so this is of course a 100% improvement. I would say removing SSE2 did the trick.

Yep, it's slow alright. It took almost two hours to copy the DVD and save it as an .ISO file. But it plays fine and looks and sounds great. (For a standard DVD.) And after nearly 40 years together, Rush boys still rocks!

                Now for disk 2...

Bummer... 9.1.3.1 still has SSE2 obviously. Back to 9.1.2.9 Beta.

That seems really slow, any chance your controller has reverted to PIO only mode? That will bog down the works.

I don't know what that is, or even how to check to see if it did that. But I switched to 8.1.3.0 and it's hummin' right along as it always has before, at an average of 6 MB/s. So I think it's just something about 9.1.2.9 Beta. I looked through the settings and I found the place where you set the write speed, but couldn't find anything about the read speed anywhere.

One thing about this program (in both the 8.x.x.x and 9.x.x.x versions) that I never really liked is that it does not tell you what the total estimated time remaining is, it's just one Task at a time.

If one version works while another doesn't it wouldn't be the controller anyway.
