    Problem after program updated

I updated to 9.1.2.5 and it has changed my ability to back up my movie to a hard drive folder then burn it to a dvd.
I have always first backup to a hard drive folder then as I needed a dvd I would burn a copy.
It makes a playable folder(my computer will paly it) on my computer but when I try to make a dvd it shows a empty folder. I have looked at the common settings and have found nothing to help change a setting to convert it to and burnable image.
It maybe a simple fix but I have not found it.
I have used this progam for a few years and have not had this problem before.

kensue49:Your drive is using 8 year old firmware and there's no updates for it.
Try a older version of Fab that worked for you or try version 8 till the Chinese staff returns from their new years. Are you using XP also?

cisco1959:This may be a XP problem you can keep using version 8 till the staff gets back also there's always Img burn a free burner program that can do the burning for you.

                Yes I am using XP.
I tried 8 but it said my license had expired.

With V8, you need to download the key from the "Members Area".

It does not rely on the internet for registration.

Had XP since first came out, been using Fab9 since the beginning, never had a problem until latest update. So it's a problem with the latest update? Latest update does everything except burn to disc.

It's most likely only happening to xp user's as if it happened to the 34 thousand members here their be a lot more people yelling.

Your going to have to wait for the Chinese staff to return from their news years break in the mean time go back to using the older version of Fab you can always use the newest version to get the movie on the drive then burn with the older Fab version that worked for you or use imgburn to burn the disk it's a great free burner you can get on the internet.

Here's a link for older versions of Fab.

I tried DVDFab 8 and it worked well to open the folders and make a dvd copy. The 9.1.2.5 will open a dvd and backup to my hard drive folder but it cant see the files in the folder to burn a dvd copy.
It works and just a little more time is envolved.
                          Thanks for the help.
