    BluFab 9

    Dora,
Are you going to integrate the SSE instruction for Windows XP into BluFab 9 or do we get a special version for Windows XP?

    Thanks,

SWB048......Window XP will be no more. Windows support for XP ends on April 8th.My advise...I would be thinking about changing windows if you want FAB support for the near future. As long as I had XP I could never use Intel Quick Sync.As soon as I changed to windows 7 Intel Quick Sync is off and running.Think about that.

        Hi SWB048
Finally We will resolved it. I mean we will add SSE2 instruction for Windows XP into BluFab 9 real. Not a speacial version. Just be be patient and wait for this fixed. It will coming soon.

          Even so, Bert is correct.

You cannot expect developers to maintain a product for an OS that the manufacturer is no longer supporting.

Your time HAS to be limited.

Do you speak for the developers now. That is not up to you, again you chimed in with yours remarks that are not wanted or concern you, this is for the developers to decide not you.

If you must know, the SSE Instruction has nothing to do with Win XP, at the present time I'm running Win7 Pro, it has to do with with the instruction set of the computer. Because I do want to shell out more money for a new computer that will run DVDFab or BluFab. The SSE Instruction was taken out of DVDFab right after version 9.0.6.3 And yes I can expect the developers to fix what they broke to start with!!!!

              Dora,
The SSE2 Instruction is already there, you need to add the SSE Instruction which was taken out after 9.0.6.3, it does not matter if it's XP or Win7 as it will not run on older computers that do not have the SSE2 Instruction. The SSE Instruction set is a computer instruction not a OS instruction. I will be patient for this to be fixed.

              Thanks,

                  Wilson,
The patch worked fine, will there be a patch for new versions or will there be a permanent fix? If you look at the bottom of the log file you will see BluFab did not go to the next screen after the rip and the disc was ejected, had to force close.

                  Here is the log file:

                    Should everyone install this patch?

No, the path just for SSE.

                        Hi, SWBO48

                        Thanks for you quick feedback.
The UI is SLOWLY after installing the path. Would you please wait some time and see the result when BluFab is not responding?

I think it is for just people who are having trouble that are using XP although I haven't had any problem myself and my XP system is as old as dirt. So if your system works ok now then I wouldn't mess with it until you have too IMHO

Morning Jimbo! From what I can glean the issue lies with the processor's ability to execute the SSE(2) instruction set the OS notwithstanding. Yours does and I have an older AMD single core machine that does as well.
