Pioneer DVR-112L won't recognise writable media

I have the above drive (firmware 1.28) in a firewire enclosure but attempting to write a DVD 5 movie only from a DVD 9 .iso file with Imgburn as the burning engine, the programme borks and complains that there is no writable media, (Verbatim DVD-R) in the drive. If I select to choose to create a Movie Only DVD 5 .iso, then that burns directly from Imgburn without issue. Any ideas or suggestions welcomed.
    Imgburn version 2.58, Windows 7 64bit

ImgBurn does not compress video, the DVD9 iso will need to be compressed to DVD5 prior to burning with ImgBurn. Make sure the output setting is DVD5.

Sorry, I should have been clearer, the size was set correctly.

Powered the PC down overnight and came back to it 24 hours later, all good now thanks. Could well have been tiredness.

Chris did you ever think about flashing the burner to FW 8.25
