    RC2 Blood Ties - New protection

    Probably the same type of new protection as found in this thread regarding Non-Stop. Gives a reading error and an "over sized" end result after the disc scanning. DVDFab Passkey gives the same error result.

    The disc is the Swedish/Scandinavian release.

        Please update to the latest version V9162 and try again.

        Please post the new log if still have problem.

                  The Immigrant

                  Same DVD distributor (Scanbox) as the Blood Ties has also released the DVD "The Immigrant", that gives the same errors in ver 9162.

                            Just odd that if you can pick the right title that is what's played when you play it in a player and just remove the CSS you have a working main movie copy.

                            Funny that they didn't add any reading errors in this protection scheme for the main movie. The same goes with the discs from the other distributor I've posted about.

                            Seems the movie company thinks the menu is more valuable than the main movie.

                              The Immigrant No read error but oversizing.
                              0m 47.74s: no main title, turn off pathplayer
                              1m 18.66s: read error: 3 3709152 3786511 3748128 0 8 3709152
                              2m 21.92s: got dvdinfo
                              2m 22.10s: opened dvd
                              Also have read error in log file when opening the DVD, DVDFab should ignore the read error and close the read error dialog automatically.
