DVDs copying slows to a crawl

I have 2 laptops, my old dell works just fine but have been having on and off issues with my HP. Seems like every time there is a DVD fab update I have issues. The actual burning if the DVD is where my problem is. The copying part works fine but when I burn it slows to a crawl around 93-95% complete to a write speed of 0.1. I have it set up for a write speed of 2.0 and it used to work fine till more new updates came out. The DVD will finish burning still but takes a long time. Occasionally it will slow to a crawl at 50% and if that happens I just stop the process completely as it will take all day to burn it. Any ideas??

What burning engine are you using? And if this is a DVD why are you setting the burn speed to 2x?

Not sure what burning engine it is. I changed the write speed to 2.4 and it works much better.

You really need to post the internal log, include the burn log. That will answer sever questions I have.
