Download issue

A number of times I have downloaded the latest official version of DVDFab 9.1.8.8 to update from v.9.1.8.5 and all seems well until I close it down. When I reopen it at a later time, it has reverted to v.9.1.8.5 I have to download v.9.1.8.8 every time I use DVDFab to have the most recent version... Does anyone else have this problem?

do a complete uninstall of dvdfab using the uninstaller, once complete
restart computer and re download dvdfab and try again
