Main Movie jitters

First 5 to 20 seconds of playback using "Main Movie" copied to a hard drive results in jittery/garbled very slow audio and video. After that time movie playback is perfect. Seems to affect all movies. Are there settings in DVDFab that I should check for this cause?

Once you have played the first 5-20 seconds, can you rewind an play it again without jittering?

It sounds like a buffering problem from your hard drive.

Even after rewinding it still has the jitters. I just confirmed that if I copy the main movie to a DVD I have the same problem on both DVD and HD at the beginning of a movie. I have tried several different players to confirm also.

Have you defragged your harddrive lately?

I have seen that also cause this problem.

Yep. have tried both internal and external hard drives.

Appreciate your help... keep the ideas coming. I'd really like to get this fixed.
