Problem With Subtitles

When I copy "Battle Of Britian" (1969) the German subtitles do not work. If I check subtitles English during playback, then all English speech is subtitled which is not what I want. I would like the German speech only to be subtitles as it is when you play the DVD. Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of player you used to play the output disc encounter this problem?

Please also tell us which copy mode you used to copy?
