Restart your computer in safe mode and see if dvdfab will Run.
Also try checking your computer's firewall to see if it's blocking
    Dvdfab from starting.

Have you tried to see if dvdfab runs in safe mode.
Might also try restoring your computer back to an earlier time.

no good.. it won't let me.. windows says "this program must be run with DEP enabled. You can not turn off DEP for this program"

started a topic Does not start up/run at all!!

Does not start up/run at all!!

The last version that runs/works on my Windows 7 Pro x64 computer is 9.3.1.2.. all newer versions since then do not work at all! they won't even start up, including this new 9321 version. and NOTHING has changed on my computer since I installed previous 9312 version..

So something has changed in all of these newer versions that causes it not to run/startup at all! all versions up to 9312 work perfectly fine - anything newer, like 9316, 9321, etc. none of them work! they don't even start up. I get the Windows error popup as soon as I try to run it - as administrator - saying to search for problem solution or close this program, and that's it.

So here's what I did, again, just like all the previous times:

I just now did a fresh/clean download from the site of this new 9321 version..

uninstalled my 9312 version via riva uninstaller pro.. and removed all traces/leftover files and folders..

then ran ccleaner and cleaned the registry of all dvdfab entries..

then ran raxco perfectregistry and cleaned the registry..

    rebooted my computer..

    disabled microsoft security essentials..

ran the dvdfab 9321 installer as adminitrator..

at the end of the install process when it tries to open the link to the webpage to say thanks for installing, the windows error window pops up and shows search for solution or close this proram.

    I close that window.

I get the dvdfab window that says to reboot before using..

    I reboot my Windows PC...

I try to run dvdfab 9321 - as administrator - and no good! does not even start up! I get the windows error popup again to search for problem solution or close this program.

AND, dvdfab does not even generate any error logs or log files at all.. it can't even startup to get that far..

The only info I can get is from the windows popup error window - and this is what it shows:

    Problem Event Name: BEX
    Application Name: DVDFab.exe
    Application Version: 9.3.2.1
    Application Timestamp: 581ff401
    Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll
    Fault Module Version: 6.1.7601.23543
    Fault Module Timestamp: 57d2f8a2
    Exception Offset: 0002004d
    Exception Code: c0000005
    Exception Data: 00000008
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
    Locale ID: 1033
    Additional Information 1: fb2e
    Additional Information 2: fb2e24ec4d23b6594dcf1a614ff2fe65
    Additional Information 3: 16d4
    Additional Information 4: 16d468d3ce5bc671bfccc230c6b9a6cf

    and that's it..

    so, I uninstall dvdfab 9321..

then I reinstall my dvdfab 9.3.1.2, and yes! after reinstalling 9.3.1.2, this version works perfectly fine.

    So what's the issue here????
Working...
