    Task_1 failed! Error=300:

Can you tell what this the significance of this error?

it happens at the very beginning of ripping.

if it happens in 9xxx or 10xxx, then it doesn't in 8320, and vice versa.

    thanks

You should always post the internal log file whenever you have a Fab problem,
This is a corrupt windows file code. Do a clean install of Fab delete Fab versions you have a problem with use the free version of CCleaner clean old files and clean registry till nothing comes up sometimes 2-3 times of running the reg. cleaner then download fab from the front page and run as administrator if this doesn't work this may but try the above first.

If it don't work try this http://www.wiki-errors.com/download.php

might also try uninstalling your dvd drive, restart computer and let windows reinstall
the drive. also check that your drive has the latest firmware update.

this only happens on 1 out 25 or 30 disks - usually British pubs.

the question was what is fab looking for that it can't find, or what is it finding that isn't happy with?

Post the version 8 log if you say it works fab may need some files from the disk to get it working so can you open the disk to see it's files in windows?
