right now I have version 10040 in settings I have the box checked to upgrade to beta versions. but it wont it will auto download at prompt say successful I restart just to make sure and I still have 10040.even tried the link in the announcement of new version. do I need to uninstall first?

I recommend you download from the Fab front page or forum links only try this here.
If it don't work take the old version off then if you have the free version of CCleaner clean the old files 1st (check mark clean pre fetch) it's unchecked by default then clean the registry then restart computer and download it again.Also check to see that your security program doesn't block Fab from running sometimes updates to security programs cause problems with Fab. -
