    Imagine That problem

Not sure about the problem being scratch related as I too have problems with this movie about half way through.

Brand new disc, fourth time trying, read/write error everytime at 40-46% complete during the initial caching to hd.

The easy way of checking your source disk is to:

      a) D/L Nero Disk Speed v5.0.1.250 (a freebie from Softpedia or Free-Codecs.com)

      b) Start DVDFab, with the source disk in your DVD drive, and allow it to open

      c) With Fab still running, start Nero Disk Speed, and run a scan on the disk.

Any errors that show up in the scan will indicate:
      1.)Scratches
      2.)A cleaning is needed
      OR
3.)Source disk is defective and needs replacing

Scratches can't really be fixed... a good cleaning with a soft cloth and a little Windex will help... OR (if it doesn't) - take the disc back to where you bought it and get a replacement.
