Trouble Ripping

Im having trouble ripping from disc. The movie will get all the way to just under 1 minute left and give me a read error and will not continue. Ive used 2 other original reigon 1 discs and they error at the same spot. Using ver 6.2.1.8.
ive tried pp off and it wont go past 30 sec without error. Anyone?
