    Can't burn using DVDFab

Ive tried 2 versions of DVDFab and 2 burning engines- the built-in one and Nero but cannot complete task 2 (burn)
DVDFab rips to an .iso just fine, but when its time to burn it says "burn fail" immediately or rejcts my disc and says "insert compatable media" (which I am using (+R DL).

The only way I can burn the .iso file made by DVDFab is to exit the program and burn it using Nero. Works fine that way.

Any ideas would be appreciated to help get this program fully functional and burning DVDs. Like I said it rips great, just wont burn using either buring engine.

Something has your burner locked and FAb cannot gain access to it.

Who is the Nobody your logs says is using the burner.

Also you are using V6.0.6.0 which is many weeks out of date. Update to the current version.

Still looking at the log .

Ok I now see you tried V6.2.1.8.

All I can see is that both versions say the burner is in use.
You need to do some looking to see what has locked the drive.

Maybe now someone else can offer some insight from the log.

As suggested, I'd try Img and see what happens.
CBR929 posted the link for you...^^

Also, when opening Img, take a look at your upper and lower filters.
Post them here so we can take a look.

Re: deleting upper and lower filters:
This article describes a problem with CD or DVD drives not work, or is missing, or not recognized after installing or uninstalling programs.

Install ImgBurn as suggested then go to Tools / Filter Driver Load Order/ Copy to Clipboard and post back with results.

I selected "yes" and then it burned the DVD-R. I used a single layer this time.

I don't know for sure, never seen this before but I got a hunch this Apple program is gumming up the works:

How to post the internal log

Well I spoke too soon. While DVD SL worked OK I got a failure using DVD DL.

I got an IO error just about 5 minutes after beginning the burn w/ ImgBurn. I do not see where there is a log of the error, or I would have posted it.

Once again though, lucky for me, I was able to burn the .iso using Nero since I hav not checked the box for it to be deleted.

steinkampg slow your burn speed to 1/2 the rated speed of your disc's as outlined in the tutorial for setting up ImgBurn for the media you are using.
