The Hobbit AUJ Extended Version I/O error at 80%

DVDFab DVD Copy aborts on "The Hobbit AUJ Extended Version" with an I/O error at 80%. Also failed w/ DVDFab9+10, and Makemkv.

Read error, could be disc defective. Clean the disc and perhaps use a cleaning disc to clean the drive.
In DVDFab 11, go to Common Settings>Drives>Read, mark the option "ignore all the reading errors automatically" to copy the movie again and see if it will make a difference.
If it doesn't help, we would suggest that you exchange the disc for a new one.

DVD is brand new and reads ok in DVD player, although it hesitates at what I theorize is the read error point.

The disc doesn't have new copy protection, please clean the disc to try again, if it failed, get a replacement to try again. If the read error happened to different movie disc, it could be a drive issue, so if you have a different drive, have a try too.
