    Failed to burn

I sometimes get the pop up window failed to burn...Then its says do you want to burn again...So i press yes, then i slip a new blank disk again. But it doesnt do anything at all???

When it says failed to burn does that mean the disk is no good?? I think i know the answer but i just want to make sure...

    Thanks

Im also getting this--Task_2 failed! Error=112

One thing is that you aren't using the best DL media and could be your burner doesn't like that brand and you could try at 2.4 instead of 4x or else get the most recommended DL media which is Verbatim. Not an expert here but this what I think

Agree with Jimbo, defintely switch to the Verbatim +R DL.
You also may have better luck by changing burn engines...even that marginal Ritek media might burn ok...but please, switch to the verbs anyway.

Here's a link to a great video tutorial for Img, download link and some other useful info

Try what was suggested but if it still fails and this burner is in a laptop/notebook you may want to invest in an external type burner.
(I think this drive is in a lappy)

Use only Verbatim Double Layer blank media made in Singapore and not the cheap ones you are using now as that and it being a laptop is the problem. So yes your problem has been answered already it just you not want that as an answer. Now you can install ImgBurn and see if that will work for the cheap media you have for burning but no guarantees as you should really be using an external DVD burner with good blank media like Verbatim. Here is link on how to get ImgBurn and how to set it up to work with DVDFab

restart computer see if that will fix that as it seems DVDFab is still running and did not close down correctly the last time you started it

This is a common problem with laptops. I had a similar problem myself. Laptops are great dvd readers, not rippers. An external drive is your best bet to cure this. But just curious.

What type of drive is in your laptop? Is it a Mashita?

Have you tried to just cut and paste a file onto a blank dvd dl. ( not a movie ). Just to see what your drive can do?

Can your laptop drive even write dvd dl's or just dvd rw?

Did you go into dvdfab settings and set it to imgburn as burning software of choice? Running the two progs could cause a conflict especially with you laptop drive.

it says hp dvdram GT20L ata device..the laptop i have is pavilion dv6-2066dx
I have already burn about 40 movies..

AGJ ..resetting did the trick....Im going to buy verbatim disks like you it was suggested...there a little bit pricey but if it means less coaster that would be the best bet..
Let me figure out setting the imgburn..i hope i dont mess up anything..

And what external dvd burner do you guys suggest???
                          Thanks again
