I installed 7.0.1.0 this morning before I saw 7.0.1.2 was out. Install went well but when I tried to execute I got a BSOD. Rebooted and tried 6.2.2.0 and got the same BSOD. This is on the W2K machine. And I am now getting BSOD on various programs. May be a coincidence but the timing is damning. It’s just a test machine so no big deal, I’ll reinstall W2K and try again. Not worth the time and effort to troubleshoot, just information.

Bummer!
So are you going to tempt fate and install 7.0.1.0 again on the WK2 rig or go for broke and go with 7.0.1.2?...
I installed 7.0.1.0 last night and had no problems, but this is on a Win7 64-bit rig.
Right now I'm gonna install 7.0.1.2 and kick the tires a bit

I'll go with 7.0.1.2, I always go with the latest and greatest. 7.0.1.0 works flawlessly on XP and the iPod Touch movie I did with it is excellent! That's why I'm not in a twist about the old W2K machine, the software is fine, that old machine may be coming to the end of its usefulness.How to post the internal log

I managed to do a clean uninstall of both v6 and v7, scrubbed the registry and reboot without a BSOD. So I installed 7.0.1.2 and backed up a movie to the HDD. So far so good, testing continues? I did not find a minidump Blazkowicz, I looked but didn’t see it.
I also could not remember the last time I updated the C++ redistributable package so I did that. This is a quick little install that solves myriad problems!

@90312:
I'm using Win2K SP4 machine most of the time, and I have WinXP Pro SP3 box for testing and abusing (I know it's quite strange ).
Do you know what caused your problem?
I am now reluctant to install the latest beta as before that, I would have to create a full disk image...
Can you provide some more clues to the possible cause of your problem - to use the memorable words: "Is it safe?"
Thanks in advance.

Hello alcyone, the install that caused the problem was 7.1.0.1 and I never reinstalled it. 7.0.1.2 has been flawless since installed. Understand I don't use that computer much it's way slow, just a test machine mostly. One other thing I had 6.2.2.0 installed and put v7 along side I never reinstalled v6.How to post the internal log
