    Constant Freezing

I have tried copying several different DVD's to my computer and then burning to a DVD. The program works great when copying to my hard drive but when I burn it to a DVD, they freeze constantly in different spots. It's so bad I can't enjoy the movie. What could be my problem? This has happened on old and new DVD's. Thanks for any input you can give me.

The problem is usually caused by either poor media , burning too fast or both.

How fast are you burning and what media are you using.

Ok so we now know you are burning at max speed and you are using one of the worst brands of media known to man.

If you are using the default VSO burn engine......
Click on the green button at the top of the screen.
Click on write and set your speed for 8X.

You will continue to have intermittent problems until you purchase a better media.

Thanks for your help. Last question : what media would you suggest?

Many/Most of the oldtimers use Ty or Verbatim.
Ty are not sold in stores but Verbatim is sold in most computer supply stores.

Look at the label and try to buy those not made in India. Altho in my area that is all I can get.

Also you would be better using Imgburn as your burn engine. It is free and again most old timers use it instead of the default VSO burn engine.
