I've been using DVDFab for years, now, and have never seen this happen, before. Running v6.2.1.8 under Vista Ultimate SP1, using Imgburn 2.5.0.0 as the burner. I was trying to backup The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (Brett) Disk 4 (two 42 min. episodes), in Clone mode. The read and write took much less time than usual - about 3 min. to read and about 5 min. to write. Normal time to clone a single-layer disk is about 11 min. to read and 12-15 min. to write. I checked the backup and the main menu came up, as expected. I selected the first episode, and when it started to play, it reverted to the menu, but I could hear the soundtrack for the episode playing in the background. Same thing happened using Full Disk mode.
I reloaded the original disk, and switched to Customize mode. It shows one title available, 24 sec. long. Neither episodes, nor titles for special feature content are listed. At the bottom, for the disk type it shows total data of 51mb to transfer.
I downloaded the DVDFab Virtual Drive and checked the temp ISO file and it behaved just like the backup disk.
So, I checked the original disk with Imgburn. Nothing unusual found. I created an ISO file from disk. It took about 12 minutes. I played the ISO file in the Virtual Drive. It played normally. I burned the ISO file to disk using Imgburn. The backup plays normally. So I have a valid backup, just using Imgburn.
Question: Why couldn't I make a normal backup through DVDFab, using Clone, Full Disk, or Customize? I made backups of the other four disks in the set, yesterday, with no problems.
