Unable to play backup copies on main DVD player

I have been using DVDFAB for years and have found it to be a reliable backup tool for my DVDs. Lately, however, I have started having problems with the playback. I can play my backups on my PC's dvd player. But my Blu/Ray player will not read the dvd. This player has worked in the past so I don't think it is a hardware issue. It will play the original DVD. This problem seemed to start with 6.2.1.8. on both single and dual layer. I have tried some of the suggestions on this forum like enabling PathPlayer but no luck.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Dennis and welcome,

    We'll need some details.
Any changes in blank media? firmware updates? burn speed? software installs? etc.

    Please post a burn log.

    The default location is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

Also take a look at the sticky thread Help Us Help You
(link in my sig below) and post back.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

When you made the back up did you change the playback order, (ie: jump to main menu.)? If so try not changing the playback order. I have had this happen before, when you put the copy which will not play in the standalone player hit the skip sceen button and it should work, then press main menu button and start movie from beginning. I know its a bit of a work around but it worked for me.

        Thanks for the replies.

No changes in hardware, firmware, etc. Like I said, discs read fine in drives on PC. DVDs will not read on PS3 also. Attaching log snipets below.

Thanks, but we really need the burn log, ie., that portion where the burn process actually occurred. It will include your burner, firmware, MID, write speed, etc., etc.

Although we haven't seen what we need yet, I believe it would be wise to switch to Img for your burn engine as I suspect a problem with VSO,
based on what you've said so far anyway.

Please D/L, install Img and watch the excellent video tutorial here:
