AMBULANCE_2022 Rip won't play past language selection menu

Posted feedback twice on this problem, refs 15938203 and 168143. Have done some further investigation.

Loading the faulty rip copy into DvdReMake Pro_3.6.3_Demo produced the following error log

Which seems to suggest that DVDCopy wasn't able to copy at least one segment of the dvd structure.

Wondered if anyone else had encountered this or similar problem where a rip seems to succeed but fails to play past a certain menu point?

    #2
Did you try Main Movie mode? Is the copy of the main movie playable?

try clicking common settings - dvd - pathplayer - disable pathplayer - restart dvdfab and
retry the disc again and see if it'll get past the menu.

Yes, I already tried copying the main movie. As with fulldisc mode, the mainmovie copy process appeared to succeed, but the resulting dvd folder would not play in kodi, and would only play in vlc media player 3.0.16 as individual vob files after displaying the following error popup message:

        Code:

Attempting to force the folder to open in kodi resulted in a "dvd unplayable, see log file for details" message. The relevant extract from the log file being as follows:

The previously submitted feedback, refs 15938203 and 168143, were created with pathplayer disabled, which I tried after trying both the pathplayer enabled, and enable when necessary options. I tried a bunch of other combinations of option settings too numberous to list, restarting dvdfab each time. I thought the dvdremake information might help narrow down the search for a solution to the problem. It seemed to suggest to me that dvdcopy rip process was genuinely missing something from the dvd's structure.

with pathplayer still disabled, go back into common settings - dvd - dvd protection - uncheck the "enable cloud decryption service"
restart dvdfab and retry the disc again and see what you get.

Thanks for the suggestion. As I said, I had tried a bunch of other combinations of option settings, with the same result each time: the copy process appeared to succeed, but the resulting rip would not play beyond the language selection menu. However, as there has been a DVDFab update since I lasted posted, I gave the pathplayer disabled, cloud decryption unselected combo another try, with exactly the same result: the copy process appeared to succeed, but the resulting rip would not play beyond the language selection menu. And again loading the rip into dvdremake_pro demo resulted in the same "can't find segment" error:

In the absence of any further suggestions, may I share my workaround, which is to clone the disc as an iso image and add that to the kodi media centre. Hope this is of some help to others who might pass this way.
