Help with "DVD to DVD"

Sorry, every time I try to post to the "dvd to dvd" support section, it takes me to log in again.

I am getting a read error with Halloween 3 "Task 1 error 102"
I have tried it with several versions of dvdfab as well as with pathplayer on and off. Any other help would be appreciated.

Post moved to correct area....

Well first you need to update to the latest released version which can be located in this link once you have updated try the movie again and post back what the results are.

Also the error 102 is a read error so make sure the DVD is clean and does not have any fingerprints, smudges or deep scratches that will cause the error. Maybe play the original in your set top DVD player to make sure it plays correctly as well

There are a few scratches, but none very deep. I played the movie in my dvd player earlier tonight and it worked fine. I just tried main movie and got the same error:

I guess if I have to I can borrow my friend's, they have all of the Halloween movies too.

If you have a softplayer on the computer like PowerDVD,WMP, Nero or media center try playing the original DVD that way as DVD drives are more finicky with reading DVDs than set top DVD players. You can as well download VSO Inspector and do a disc scan on the original DVD and if any errors show it a bad DVD.
