Double layers not reading in DVD player after burn succes?

I have burn a double layer disc from ' Emtect' with DVDFab. After the disc is full succes after burn it recognize in mine computer burner only. After I did tried to play in mine DVD-player it doesn't recognize the disc. Few of disc are playing good but a few others not, but those are as well reading in mine DVD-player.

All mine disc are burn with succes computer recognize those all.
but some few disc are playing easy after I did burn with DVDFab.

    - I did burn Emtect with imgburn. but all disc are still reading in mine DVD-player.
    - I did burn with DVD-fab but a few reading and the others are not reading as well in DVD-burner it does reading.

does anyone now what the problem is? what could the problem be?

    Hi angela and welcome,

If I follow you correctly, my first guess is that your blank media is the problem.
Please post a burn log or two...

    The default location is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

    Just copy and paste

I've never heard of Emtech, but after a little detective work....

Emtech = RICOH, fake Taiyo Yuden and Interaxia AG...all crappy media

The only consistently recommended DL media is Verbatim +R DL.
Are you able to purchase these in your locale?
If you post your general location, we can try to help you find retailers...at least online retailers

            Hi and welcome.
Two things I see in your logs

You should install SP3 for your operating system.
Also your version of Fab is old you can find the newest beta version here or official release here hope this helps you.

Yes, I did the problem still not solve.

Because I have 25 empty disc of Emtec those cost 11,95 euro for 25 peaces.
The problem is infact some few disc when the burn the are reading in mine DVD-player.
sometimes yes and sometimes other burn disc from same mark doesn't.

I have burn too with imgburn sometimes the second layer won't burn too.
              I get a pop-up PIO.

And some other emtect does burn very good as well..

what I do not understand why sometimes the second layer won't written.
              He said fault with written?

Angela is your drive is in PIO mode?
Open Fab click green check top right>general>make sure check for DMA is checked and also click the button to the right of that Reset DMA Now
                Post back CBR929

I did too the problem is still same. I did reset it too.

I have burn more than 300 disc's I think more also not more than 500.

when I burn on DVD-fab some of disc are succes finalise.
sometimes I am getting a fault by something 12 error.

I burn with imgburn 10 Verbatim double layers. 8 of those were good the two were coaster. 1 has been mess up by a layer break won't burn anymore more' given a message' written error.

The other Emtect disc given after finalise retry error sometimes on the end he make finalise written fault he can't close it clean.

Can anybody tell me if mine burner is not or is going to dying?

With DVD+R does work very well pretty.

If posting your current burn logs try to include one similar to the one in Post #4, it will just be a little longer where you had a successful burn to confirm that your drive is not in PIO mode, which could give some sort of indication whether your drive is just in the wrong mode and not a failing drive.
                      Please post back
