    I am running DVDFab v7.0.4.0 and I am having trouble copying AVATAR, the DVD version, not Blu-Ray. Anyway, when it does copy and I put in into a Blank DVD-R disc and go to play it, it tends to skip to the middle of the movie. Or, it tends to start off at 6 minutes into the movie, skipping the very beginning of it. Can you please help me. I did noticed that there is a DVDFab new beta version out. However, it does not mention about a fix for the DVD version of AVATAR, only the Blu-Ray version of AVATAR. Will there be a fix for the AVATAR DVD version of the movie since I and probably others are having trouble with? Please let me know....Thanks. c0afanh

    First of all, Avatar is fully supported by DVDFab - all formats (BD and DVD) and all regions. In fact, it's all over the Web, cracked, copied, in all formats sizes and shapes. Amazingly enough, everybody mentioned that protection removed with DVDFab.
    Your issue is, looks like local in nature. You should explain what happening in greater detail. So far your description make very little sense: "I put in into a Blank DVD-R disc and go to play it" What bank DVD? Play what? are you with me? Please start over, step-by-step

      Step 1: I copy the AVATAR DVD movie using DVDFab v7.0.4.0 with path player enabled.

      Step 2: During the copying process, everything goes very and the program states, "Copied Successfully"

      Step 3: I then burn the completed copy of AVATAR from the Temp File from my hard disk drive on to a Blank (Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden) DVD-R disc.

      Step 4: After the burning on a Blank DVD-R process is completed. I then go to insert the DVD movie into my DVD Player to watch the movie.

      Step 5: When I start the movie, I noticed that the movie skipped to the 6 minute and 20 second mark. You don't even see the very beginning of the movie at all. Sometimes it skips to the very end of the movie. I have tried copying the movie four more times with the same exact results.

      I just need a little help to resolve the issue I am having. Any solutions?

        Watch your original purchased DVD to make sure it not skip at the exact same spot also read what is listed below and post the info asked in your next post reply to this thread

        If you are posting about an operational problem with one of the DVDFab products, you will improve the speed and accuracy of the response by providing some information in the very first post that will probably be needed.

        First, make note of any error codes or messages that appear in popup boxes and put them in your post. Information on error codes that appear in the DVDFab UI are captured in one of the logs we request below.

        DVDFab keeps logs of its activities that supply basic system information and can help pinpoint where and when an error happened and help pinpoint the cause. The default location for these logs on most Windows systems is:

                Well for starters you are using SP2 for XP and DVDFab is developed using the latest updates for all Operating systems which means you should really be using SP3 with XP. Also there is a Beta release already Also you are getting a Task_1 failed! Error=102 which is a read error so clean the DVD and make sure it has no fingerprints/scratches on it. If it still not work I suggest exchanging it for another as it could be a bad pressed DVD. Yes they do exist for this movie as I had one and had to exchange the DVD in order to make my back up

                    Your drive also has a firmware update, yours is a couple of years old you will find it here If you are not sure how to flash your drive do not do it as it will render your drive useless.

                      avatar..select the main film only without the extras and it should copy ok. i used a single layer disc and it played perfectly. this is my first post so i hope i've done it right.
