    dvdfab7 not compressing

recently, my fab7 stopped compressing what it copies.....with all moviies! so if i copy a 170 minute movie, i can't copy it onto a normal 4.7 gig blank! the player rejects it , and states i must use a dual layer disc-which i can't afford...anyone know how to correct this???i haven't changed anything at all!

Look at the quality setting and see if it is set for DVD9.
If so change it to DVD5.

If this is not the problem post a log for us to look at.

If you are using the FREE version, the ability to compress will be disabled once the 30 day trial runs out.

O.K. Im a little confused now. I took your guys advice and click dvd5 from now on instead of 9 and i have a fully licensed version. i have always been very leary of changing settings due to fear of making a mess of things. here is my last burn notes and build. should i change a setting or add something? i always just burned disk to disk. kinda set it and forget it. any help would be great!

It looks like this burn went OK, correct?

I would get rid of the Ritek blanks though. They are CRAP!!

Yeah, the Maxell's are manufactured by RITEK.

Please file them in the little round filing cabinet on the floor next to your desk.
