DVD to DVD will not play in Windows 7 Media Centre

I have a number of DVDs that have been copied to hard disk using both the current V7 and earlier versions of DVDFab. When I go to try and play them they are visable in the library and I can navigate to the folders but when I try and play the first 15 seconds of sound is heard but there is no picture. After this it goes quiet and the controls on the screen judder up and down. I have posted this on the windows forum but the only response was to raise this with you. I could understand if it was a PC issue but as my desktop is home built and my laptop is a Sony with the software preinstalled it leads me to believe it is either a problme with the way I am ripping the DVDs to the hard disk, or a bug in DVDFab or an issue with Windows 7 Media Centre. Any help would be appreciated.

Can the movie folders be played using VLC (google it)?

Thanks for the info. I tried this and it worked thus proving that DVDFab is converting correctly so the issue must be with Windows 7 Media Centre. Back to Microsoft.
