    Unsuccessful copy/burn

MOVIE DVDs COPY/BURN FINE WITH NEVER AN ERROR BUT THEN THE COPY EITHER WILL NOT START OR WILL PLAY FOR ANYWHERE FROM 5 MINUTES TO AN HOUR BEFORE STOPPING IN VARIOUS DVD PLAYERS.

Big DELL Desktop , WIN 7 64 bit, DL Optical Drive (2 ½ years old)
SONY VAIO AR Laptop, WIN 7 32 Bit, DL Optical Drive (Blu-Ray Playable) (2 ½ years old)
HP Laptop Pavilion, WIN 7, 64 bit, DL Optical Drive (1 year old)
(All Drivers up to date on all) (The Drives on all the above play DVDs just fine and coy/burn both audio and data CDs and DVDs most excellently)

In the course of the past 3 years, DVD Fab is just the last (and one of the least expensive) in a long list of software (both Commercial and FreeWare, Decryptors, burners, etc.) that I have attempted to use (UNSUCCESSFULLY) to make a playable DVD copy of my movies. I have spent over $700 on COPY software/blank DVDs over the last 3 years just trying to make ONE successful DVD backup copy of any of my movies!
I have purchased many brands of blank DVDs, (TDK, Verbatim, FUJI, etc.) – and + and Double Layer and have had the same luck with all of them.
The copy and burn processes always work fine and the log shows nothing unusual or any errors ever. The copies simply do not work reliably in the seven or eight DVD players that I have tried them on. (However, they do work perfectly on all of my three computer DVD drives.) I have used DVD5 and DVD9 settings and used “CLONE” , “MAIN MOVIE” and “CUSTOMIZED”, etc. , all with the same results.
The ISO files also play fine on all the computers as well.

Please post your logs so that we can look through them and try to figure this out The default location is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log.

Please just copy and paste the burn log(s) and post right here.

Also is this the version you are using 7.0.4.0?

I'd be suspecting your DVD set top boxes.

Take a burnt disk to a bricks & mortar electronics store and see if if plays in one of their el cheapos.

I'm sorry but that is not a complete burn log
Please post a complete burn log if using the VSO burn engine post that if ImgBurn post that.
This is a complete burn log from my Imgburn see attachment

Open Fab click the little green check on the top click general click the reset DMA on the right also make sure the check for DMA to the left is also checked then restart Fab
I would also suggest lowering your burn speed to 1/2 the rated speed of your media and also stick with Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim for your burns

                CBR929,
Thanks sir, I will try that. Oh, and where do I set the "burn Speed" to 1/2 as you suggest?

                Mahalo (thanks very much)

Open Fab click the little green check on top go to DVD- BluRay / write / you will see the write selection box.
Also while you are there click the select book type to DVD-Rom for +r media
If you want you can also install ImgBurn you will find it here along with a tutorial and video on how to set it up and any time you burn a certain media it will always remember your burn settings
