    Avatar problems

I can make a copy of Avatar to a 4.7 GB DVD but if I try to make a copy to a DVD+ DL (Memorex) the copy can be read by my computer or XBox but NOT readable to the three DVD players I have tried. Is it a problem with the brand of DVD not being able to be read by DVDs?

Post a burn log for starters.

Also if you have access to any other brand of DL disc try one to see if it will play.

Memorex is known to be a problematic disc.

In addition to Gruñón's excellent advice, you might have better luck bitsetting the +R DL discs, although 3/3 players failing doesn't bode well.
The burn logs should isolate the problem.

Please use Verbatim +R DL media, preferably MIS (made in Singapore...look on the spindle wrapper for manufacturer locale).
Verbs are the only DL media we recommend.

          The default location is:

You are burning at Max speed.
              Slow it down to 4X.

The only things I can see that might be the problem is your brand of media and your burn speed.
