Help - Keeps saying "failed to burn dvd"

So when I am burning a dvd to dvd it copies fine and then when i put a blank cd in it will say "writing" and then eject and say the copy failed. If i try several times (around 8) most of the times it will start to burn.

I have the latest version
Have un-installed and re-installed the latest version
Have tried changing dvds just incase
Have no idea what the problem is but it's really frustrating to have to keep waiting for it to actually start legit writing and i'm copying "captivity" right now and i'm on my 10th try and it still won't go.
The error message says, "Task 2 failed Error = 122"

Please help!

Post your burn logs The default location is:
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log.

First I would suggest updating to the newest version of Fab you will find it here

These are not very good for burning DVD's they are know to have problems.
I would suggest investing in an external burner.

Also suggest lowering your burn speed to half the rated speed of your disc's

Also would suggest installing ImgBurn it is free and there is a tutorial and video on how to set it up you will find it here

You have a number of obstacles to overcome...nicely detailed by CBR929.
I can't emphasize enough how crucial good quality media is, especially when burning with a slimline burner. While HP would be one of the contenders were I to buy a new laptop, I've never been a fan of their less than adequate firmware support.

First off dump the CMC crap.
Pick up either Verbatim (sold in many brick & mortar stores and online)
or Taiyo Yuden (online for most of the planet).

and then right down the list as posted above.

If you're serious about video archiving to blank media, an external burner or an internal burner in an external enclosure will help immensely.

this a description of your error, I hope in addition to what was said above it will give you a better clue:

In short, DVDFab have nothing to do with this error. It's between your burner and media that you have purchased.
