Out of the blue R4 problem

Hi guys.. Problem burning a backup of Out Of The Blue R4.
    Failed when burn almost completed.
Burn log attached. Many failures experienced recently from several titles.
My burner has never had firmware updates published so I can't change that.
I use Verbatim dvd-r so I think my media quality is ok.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    onionhead,
burn logs are not attached. However, something tells me that your burning engine is VSO. If it's correct, go here and fix it as suggested:

If I'm wrong, then we would need ALL logs, including burn and internal
    sigpic

Please post your logs the default location is:

    For Win7 C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
    For Vista C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab\Log
    For XP C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
Please use attachment button and attach your most recent, Internal log and post right here.

Out of the Blue R4 issue logs

here is one upload error message as I try to attach burn logdvdfab_burn_vso.log:
Your file of 32.7 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 19.5 KB for this filetype.
But because it says "vso.log" then I guess it is using vso ..I will try Popov's link per last message to rectify from vso.

you can just use copy paste for posting the logs to a post reply or use a compressed folder for posting as attachment

Given you are using VSO as your burn engine -- why not try ImgBurn ? This is freeware and IMHO an excellent piece of software and far mor configurable than VSO.

I used to use VSO as my main burn engine but switched to ImgBurn about 18months ago and have never looked back --- the reason for my change was that for 90%-95% of burns things where fine with VSO however I had odd ones (similar to what you describe) where I ran into issues.

If you try ImgBurn and either this does not solve your issues or you prefer VSO then you can always change the settings in DVDFab and move back.

There's a couple of threads on now to set-up ImgBurn for use with DVDFab and some excellent turtorials and personally I think it's the better bet.

Hope this helps some and good luck.

            Cheers,

            Asbac
