I am having trouble copying Shutter Island. At first, it seemed to copy successfully. When I burn it onto a blank DVD-R disc and try to play the movie, it skips to middle of the movie. You never see the very beginning of the movie at all. I tried copying Shutter Island 3 times more, but only ending with the same result. I had the same issue when I tried to copy the AVATAR movie. Any ideas to resolve this issue? Please let me know. Thanks....c0afanh.

Maybe if you posted some info that would help us to give you some help would have been a good idea. So can you read what is listed below and post all info mentioned to your next post reply to this thread
Help Us Help You
If you are posting about an operational problem with one of the DVDFab products, you will improve the speed and accuracy of the response by providing some information in the very first post that will probably be needed.
First, make note of any error codes or messages that appear in popup boxes and put them in your post. Information on error codes that appear in the DVDFab UI are captured in one of the logs we request below.
DVDFab keeps logs of its activities that supply basic system information and can help pinpoint where and when an error happened and help pinpoint the cause. The default location for these logs on most Windows systems is:
C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
The logs are simple text files that can be opened with Windows Notepad if you want to read them. If the size exceeds the forum’s attachment size limit, you may need to delete older entries or copy and paste the relevant ones into a new file. The log files can be attached to a post using the "Manage Attachments" button below the editing box.
dvdfab_burn_vso.log Attach for all problems. The entries are time stamped with the most recent at the top.
dvdfab_burn_imgburn.log Attach if you have ImgBurn set as the burning engine and the problem concerns disc burning. Time stamped with the most recent at the bottom.
dvdfab_process.log Attach if DVDFab crashes and the crash report window does not come up or complete correctly or if internal error codes appear in the DVDFab window (“Task Failed…”). Time stamped, most recent at the bottom.
dvdfab_internal.log Attach for all problems. Time stamped, most recent at the bottom. Please edit to include only the most recent or relevant log session.
Other Information:
Depending on the nature of the problem, it can help to know:
If this happens with all discs or just one
Your operating system/CPU/memory configuration
If you are using external hard drives or optical drives
If you have made any recent changes to your OS or system hardware
If you have other DVD or BD software installed, particularly if recently added.
Posts with all the requested information will be answered first.

Thanks for trying to post the info. Unfortunately, most of the info you posted doesn't help or is not related, ie., wrong movie, etc.,...
There is no burn log posted.
All we have is your os, Fab version and the DVD-ROM drive used to rip... certainly not burn.
Do you have PathPlayer set to always enabled?
For most users, this was the problem.
Please post the burn log
Please playback the ripped files from the hdd with a software player such as VLC.
Does the movie play ok? navigation intact?
Is the file size accurate? If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Ok,
Did you look at the contents of dvdfab burn vso text document?
I don't know what this is (strange file name), if not the burn log.
Could you try it with Img as the burn engine?
Since the ripped files are intact and able to be navigated correctly, I'd go with Img.
Here's an excellent video tutorial on how to set it up with Fab.
You can also use Img as a standalone app and just navigate to the ripped files to burn.
I recommend setting it up with Fab though. My bet is that it will win you over.
It's a much more reliable and configurable burn engine. It also has better supportIf it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Hi c0afanh
I have a question for you, have you ever burned a movie with this drive? This is pulled from your logs2010-06-19 05:41:52 Info Current Drive selected : 1:0:0 - LITE-ON COMBO SOHC-5236V R$0G [D] (Ide)
This is the specs on this drive:
Model
Brand LITE-ON
Type Combo Drive
Model SOHC-5236V
Performance
DVD-ROM Access Time 140ms
CD-ROM Access Time 120ms
Cache 1.5MB
WRITE Speed
CD-R 52X
CD-RW 32X
READ Speed
DVD-ROM 16X
CD-ROM 52X
I may be wrong but as far as I can tell this is a DVD-ROM drive, which means it can read DVD's but not burn them
