Have you guys noticed how many problems lately burning to Ritek medias with an “F” in the MID? I don’t see many where the MID has a “P” in it. The “F” denotes the Fujifilm proprietary organic dye and the “P” denotes good ole metal AZO dye, you don't see many problems with those. Lots of problems with the “F” type dye. I'll just stick with Verbatims and Tayio Yuden and know I have AZO dye.

Ooops just noticed you have the latest version installed as well so why are you using V6? Use the latest make sure pathplayer is always enabled, get better blank media and reset your DVD drive to DMA and then try again with latest version of DVDFabLast edited by AGJ; 06-23-2010, 05:54 AM.

Just an FYI here guys,
Whether or not a drive (ODD or HDD) runs in one of the DMA Modes has nothing to do with the interface of the drive, ie., PATA (IDE or ribbon) cabling vs. SATA cabling.
It has everything to do with how the drive is configured in the bios.
Take a look in device manager and see what's up with DMA modes with both your ODD's and HDD's and whether or not DMA is even an option.
Now look in your bios.
Many of the newer factory built rigs don't even have IDE as an option in the bios.
Look in device manager and there's no IDE ATA/ATAPI controller.
DMA is not an option here.
Similarly, an external burner which connects via a usb port is controlled by the usb controller. It doesn't matter whether the drive itself is PATA (IDE) or SATA interface.
Again DMA is not applicable.
I have a 6 month old core i7 build, Win7 Pro, 64-bit.
I chose not to load the AHCI drivers prior to installing windows.
I configured everything for IDE.
I have 4 SATA HDD's, 2 SATA ODD's and 2 PATA ODD's.
All 8 drives are in DMA... UDMA2, UDMA5 or UDMA6If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Above is my internal log. I did not have this checked originally. I have DMA checked, and it was. I was using the latest version and had the same problem. I am not sure I understand how to pick the right title. I tried the better media. Still only 2 chapters when I go to put it in a DVD player. When I put the same DVD back in my computer and it plays through all the chapters.
