it reads dvd too fast and goes to burning.

i purchased a dvd set of the six million dollar man. and wanted to make backup copies. but the software starts to read the disc and it it reads it to quickly and starts burning the disc. and when it is done there is nothing on it. so i have to throw away the blank i just used. what could be causing this. or is it the dvd itself

This an old movie that may require pathplayer to be disabled so Disable pathplayer and try again but instead of burning to DVD save to computer to see if it worked correctly
