Problems with Iron Giant/Looking for older versions

Using 7.062 (and now 7.07) I'm getting a problem with my results from DVDfab with the movie "Iron Giant". During the DVDFab process, there are no errors and it completes successfully.

During playback I am getting the "skipping" (like a scratched vinyl record) at points in the film (using media center). VLC plays the movie without the repetitive skipping, but skips several seconds at the exact same moments in the film.

I've searched the forums and found that NotSteveMcQueen has the exact same problem with the same film (hmm, I wonder if it is at the same points in the film?).

It looks like, as a workaround, NSMcQ downloaded an older version of DVDFAB (the second link above). The link provided in the above linked post is now linking directly to the 7.070 version, so is no help. I've poked around the site a bit, but only been able to find the past versions changelogs, not the actual software.

Any ideas on what may cause the digital file to skip? In the meantime, any ideas where I can get an old version?

    TIA!

The Iron Giant is an old movie and you should disable pathplayer for it

Got the old software to work, thanks for the link!

Pathfinder has been enabled and disabled for this movie, with the same results -- it is not the problem.

Working in an earlier version, and not in a current version, and being seen by more than one independent user seems to point to something else. I've got a good rip now, but only using the older software.

You can always keep older versions on your computer they do not take up much space and they install in different folders, so if one fails a different version might work as in your case

Well I have this DVD in my hand and will give it a try now. What parts does it skip at and could you as well post the logs located in Documents-dvdfab-log

I do not have VLC installed but can use media center and powerdvd for playback

No problem watching a Full Disc rip to hard drive compressed for DVD5 using my DVD The Iron Giant Special Edition with pathplayer disabled and using the latest Beta release
