    Write Failures

I just got DVDFab so I'm basically new to this........ I used it for a while with no problems. Now I'm always getting write failures. DFab starts, copies movie fine but then as soon as I put in blank DVD it comes up with failure. I thought by downloading ImgBurn it would help since it has been suggested to others and has seemed to solve their problems. Still have same problem though. Here is the DVDFab log. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    CrisO,
the log you have posted is not DVDFab log, but ImgBurn. However, it's not that important because DVDFab have nothing to do with failure. It seems your problem is a combination of write speed being too high and low quality DVD drive. It seems one of those slim laptop DVD writers (probably SONY VAIO), and quality of the media.
In general, I would avoid use slim DVD writers and suggest to get a good external with external power supply.
In a meanwhile, please set ImgBurn for 4x speed max and give it a try.

I agree with IPopov50 try slowing down your speed even though you are using quality Verbatim media

yes lower the burn speed to 4x and try to use an external DVD drive as the MatSHITa you have is problematic when it comes to DVD back up

yes matSHITa are fine when it come to reading the DVDs but for burning they give nothing but problems.

Also since this is a laptop could you as well post your filers and to do that you can use ImgBurn. Go to Tools-Filter Drive Load Order and copy to clipboard. Then in your post reply on this thread right click the mouse and select paste. You probably not have a bad filter but better to make sure now than later

Well filters are packet writing software or such that interfere with the DVD burner and the program that is trying to acces that. They cause problems for DVD programs such as DVDFab and others
