    How fast should DVDFab burn?

I have a 8X DVD burner and so far DVD to DVD has only gotten up to 2.2X burn. How do I set up DVDFab and/or my computer to read and burn faster?

What kind od blanks are you trying to burn? That's about right for a 2.4x DL disc or some junky SL discs out there.

The actual burn speed is dependent on a number of factors...your burner, firmware, media, etc. and not really dependent on the software.
I can write at 2.4X and at 20X with my current rig.

If your present burner's max rated speed is 8X, it must be pretty old.
I wouldn't be too aggressive about pushing your write speed....given that you are getting good burns.
Still, 2.2X sounds pretty slow...assuming SL media and not some ancient MID (media ID).

Generally, we recommend about 1/2 the max rated speed of the media or your burner...whichever is slower.
This is merely a rough guide for a starting point

Please post a burn log or two and we can give you some specific advice.

      The default location is:
