Menu Problems

I'm still experiencing the same issue when copying a DVD. when I click on the menu item; nothing happens.

Some menu items are ok; but majortiy just do nothing when clicked.

I have tried with PathPlayer always enabled and disabled.

Anymore ideas?

EDIT: Tried viewing the entire disc and then scanning to a certain spot using VLC media player. Same thing. VLC has a long hard think about it, then the video closes.

If you are posting about an operational problem with one of the DVDFab products, you will improve the speed and accuracy of the response by providing some information in the very first post that will probably be needed.

DVDFab keeps logs of its activities that supply basic system information and can help pinpoint where and when an error happened and help pinpoint the cause. The default location for these logs on most Windows systems is:

C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

The logs are simple text files that can be opened with Windows Notepad if you want to read them. If the size exceeds the forum’s attachment size limit, you may need to delete older entries or copy and paste the relevant ones into a new file. The log files can be attached to a post using the "Manage Attachments" button below the editing box.

dvdfab_burn_vso.log Attach for all problems. The entries are time stamped with the most recent at the top.

dvdfab_burn_imgburn.log Attach if you have ImgBurn set as the burning engine and the problem concerns disc burning. Time stamped with the most recent at the bottom.

dvdfab_process.log Attach if DVDFab crashes and the crash report window does not come up or complete correctly or if internal error codes appear in the DVDFab window (“Task Failed…”). Time stamped, most recent at the bottom.

dvdfab_internal.log Attach for all problems. Time stamped, most recent at the bottom. Please edit to include only the most recent or relevant log session.

Other Information:

Depending on the nature of the problem, it can help to know:
If this happens with all discs or just one
Your operating system/CPU/memory configuration
If you are using external hard drives or optical drives
If you have made any recent changes to your OS or system hardware
If you have other DVD or BD software installed, particularly if recently added.

We do not need logs from year 2008. We need the most recent logs! Update to either the most recent official release or the latest Beta . Then Try again and if same problem post the logs again and possibly the title of the DVD as well

Sorry guys. That log must have been from an old DVD Fab install on an Old PC. I have kept the same "My documents" folder for years and move it to each new PC.

To re-iterate; Current PC is Win 7 Ultimate x64. This is the FIRST and only time DVDFab has been installed on it.

From your previous logs, it could be these things causing problems:-

The Ritek blanks that you are using are known to be crappy. Buy some decent Verbatims.
You are burning at 8x. Set the burn speed to half the rated speed of the media or the burner, whichever is LESSER.

Also we do not support old outdated versions of DVDFab. Your post #5 logs showed version 7.0.9.2 and the latest logs show version 7.0.9.0 so you really need to update to either the latest official release 7.0.9.3 or the latest beta version 7.5.0.6. Until you do that and try with the more updated DVDFab we not able to help. If after you try latest release and same problem then post the logs that are for that try only then we can try and help

Your drive is in PIO mode, Open Fab Click the Green √ top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right and restart.
