    tried pathplayer changes but still won't copy DVD, DVD is new & pristine.

    other ideas? recurring problem!! 1-of-2 DVD's now don't rip anymore!!

      Download VSO Inspector [free] and run an error scan on your source disc.

        Tough call without knowing more.
        First off, I'd suggest running through the list in this thread:

        Tips on Troubleshooting Analyzing/Ripping dvds
        and clean the disc in the manner suggested, despite how it looks.

        However...are you saying you now only have a 50% success rate with rips?
        How many discs are we talking about?

        I have no idea about this dvd, especially as it is PAL and R2...Norway right?
        Perhaps send the .IFO files off to Fengtao and see what he says.

          If it happens with more then one disc in a row - time to do routine maintenance on your optical drive. Please get a cleaning kit and clean it.
          If it just one disc - most likely that disc is either dirty (clean it) or have manufacturing defect ( exchange it).
          ... and clean your drive anyway...

            Ok will try it out, altough the DVD and my computer are brand new. Have the same problem with most new released -norwegian- DVD's.

            Will keep things posted.
