    DVD size and format

    hey i wanted to copy a movie to a blank DVD i bought (link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Infiniti-Lay...ref=pd_cp_ce_2)

    Now the DVDs are 8.5gb dual layered and the movie is 7.94gb because its a blu-ray rip. The movie file format came as a MKV which i used VLC media player to watch with. Since my friend has asked for a copy so i just need to know if;

    1. i need to convert to a new format and if so, which?
    2. is it necessary to add a title/menu to the dvd or will it just play automatically?

    Thanks a lot!
