    I can only burn to disc if I uninstall/reinstall DVDFab

    I seem to be having an usual error when copying ripped media from my hard drive to disc. The problem? The only way I can get a sucessful burn is if I uninstall and reinstall DVDFab. I have a Dell Studio XPS 1640 Laptop (less than 1 year old) with Windows 7 OS. It has an internal HDLS - GA10N 12.7mm SATA Slotload 8x DVDRW version A203. After reading through all of the forum advice, I have downloaded the Dell DVD driver, downloaded and set up Imgburn to work with DVDFab, slowed my burn speed to 4x and use Verbatim DVD-R 4.7GB 16x 120min media. I have no issues with ripping a DVD to my hard drive. My issue occurs when I try to burn to blank media. In the Write Data Mode, I receive a "Process Failed!" error approximately 4-5 seconds into the "Dectecting writable media in Drive D" phase. At first I thought maybe I had "crap media" but after the 5th or 6th disc, I had the bright idea of uninstalling and reinstalling DVDFab. It worked! But only for one burn. When I inserted another blank disc to burn another movie, we went right back to the "Process Failed!" error. Tried several more discs and had another epiphany to uninstall/reinstall. Voila! It worked. For only one burn again. Then back to "Process Failed!" So, 4 uninstalls/reinstalls later, I am back on the forums seeking advice. I have provided as much log information as permitted.

    Well have you tried using Full Disc and use the ripped folder as source and your DVD drive as target? That how I burn all my full disc files to DVD. I do same thing for my main movie ones as well. Also since these are files on computer why not skip the DVDfab part and just use ImgBurn to burn to dvd by using the Write files/folders to disc. Also where are the ImgBurn logs as all I see are the VSO logs.

      Pleae install ImgBurn it is (free) you will find it here along with a tutorial on how to set it up with Fab http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=33 , post back with results.

        Hi Mariyka
        After rereading your post it seams you already installed ImgBurn but, I believe your logs are VSO burn logs
        Please recheck the tutorial on setting up ImgBurn to make sure it is set up correctly and set your burn speed to 4X
        Also when installing Fab especially in Windows7 it is very important to install the installer as administrator: Instead of clicking run click save then open the folder and right click and install the program as administrator
