DVDFab is converting OTP discs into PTP

DVDFab is converting my OTP discs into PTP. Any idea why this would happen?

Are you saying your burns come out PTP? I am ready to be proven wrong, but I don't think that's possible?
How to post the internal log

No, I backed up the disc to an ISO. And the ISO was PTP.

        That makes 2 of us.
These are DL discs, right? Otherwise, PTP/OTP would not be applicable.

I think some of the original navigation discs for autos are PTP, but any backup, say with dvd decrypter (if I recall this was the software that could copy these dvds), would have to be OTP.

To my knowledge, there is no PTP media available on the retail market.
But hey, probably not the first time I'm about to be proven wrong...

Yes, the original discs are DL OTP. But, when they are backed up to an ISO, they are converted to PTP. And I'm unable to burn them.

Data is not written to the hard drive in track paths? What burning engine are you using?

Well, I've always maintained, sometimes this stuff is like voodoo...

              What title(s)?
Are you using Img or VSO? and could you post the logs?
              Thanks

Thanks 90312, I totally missed it

Arch, if you are using the VSO engine bundled with Fab click the green arrow and go down to “DVD” and check that the “Remove Layer Break” box is not checked. It should then create an MDS file that retains the original layer break information and hopefully will set you on the right road! I recommend setting up Fab to use ImgBurn as your default burning engine.

                    Hi Arch Stanton

From what I see you need to visit this thread again and set up the AWS for the media that you are using and set it to 1/2 the rated speed of your media, which in this case would be 4x.
I would suggest picking up some better media, like Verbatim +R DL to burn with, the ones you are using are considered crap, and your burner does not like these disc's.
Give this a try and post back

I agree completely with my pal CBR929, better media is a must for you. Your drive just doesn't like that media. 2.4X might not be too slow.
BTW cool nick, I'm a die hard Eastwood fan too.
