Strange sign after profile name

You probably don't use a virgin XP SP3 (is only about 14 days old).

Or you have probably installed language support for Asian languages.

I'll install on my XP later when I get back as I'm heading out soon. This is on W7 Ultimate for my screen capture. All I use is the free version on my XP and mine is 5 years old but just did a OS reinstall about 2 weeks ago

I have installed a en-US XP Sp3 environment without Asian languages. So it very clear.
But no luck, I not repro your probulem. All icons, buttons display well. Which DPI you used?

I didn't change anything, so normal DPI, just good old 1024x768 on a 40 inch TV (can't read anything with a higher resolution).
On same PC everything is fine with Win 7 x64, just not my XP SP3.

same issue on my XP SP3 for DVD Ripper and Video converter. Did not check Blu-ray Ripper though. Screen shot attached For DVD Ripper
