I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I removed the beta and installed a couple of earlier versions and apps launched no problems. Updated to beta again and received the same error message upon launch.

I needed to update my nvidia drivers
I was having issues with Iron Man 2 and sent an e-mail to DVDfab Support without looking at the Forum. They responded within hours and I installed 8.0.1.7 beta from their attached link. DVD Copy worked real well with no problems. However, I couldn't rip a previously copied Main Movie to .wmv or .avi. All sorts of error messages and the Automatic Report screen popped up.
I sent off the Automatic Report with the issues I was having and and DVDfab's reply was to update my nvidia drivers. Since they hadn't been updated since I built my computer last year, I did. GREAT ADVICE!! I installed the latest version of DVDfab and I'm off to the races! THANKS DVDfab!
I check the Forum daily now.

Chapter 18 is a blank chapter and is what's killing the rip.

DVDFab 8.0.1.7 Works Great with Iron Man 2
Downloaded the Beta version of DVDFab (8.0.1.7) yesterday and it ripped Iron Man 2 with no issues using default options selected. Good quality too.
