I am having the same problem with every movie I burn… just started this week.
One movie freezes in the last 5 minutes; other freezes in the 2nd to last scene; and another skips through last scene then freezes before end….

I “Reset DMA” to see if this will work. I have never had a problem before. I even performed a verification step after burning and every thing was ok. I posted 2 logs (one after & one before reset – same movie same media)

Here is my log after performing the reset:

      Hi Sgt_Horvath
You may take some of the advise given already in this thread your media Media ID: RITEK-S04-42 garbage consider picking up some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim with the AZO Dye on the package.

You may also want to consider installing ImgBurn it is "free" and you will find it here along with a tutorial on setting it up with Fab remember to set the AWS in ImgBurn and also lower your burn speed to 1/2 the rated speed of your media.
You may also install tha newest version if you want, it is found here

Give this a try and post back

Some time ago I was having a similar problem, even though regular DVDs seemed to play okay some of my burned ones were freezing up. What I did was first I downloaded one of the movies right to my hard drive and tried playing it there. After seeing that it played okay on the hard drive, I went out and bought a lens cleaner for my player and I run it about every two weeks or so and I have never had any problems since. Just something you might want to try.
