Hmmm, well only other things I guess it could be is possibly a bad original disc or maybe the type of media you're using. Could try doing a scan using Nerocdspeed of the original to check for bad sectors.

I believe the problem with it glitching/freezing is write speed related since it plays fine on the computer. Try setting the write speed to half the rated speed of your blank media. If rated for 16x try burning at 8x

Thanks for your thought but my 16X discs are always burnt at 4X--custom configured via AWS in ImgBurn, and I've never had any problem ever. It's one heck of a coincidence to have it only occur exactly at the point where that missing segment occurred with the 6.1.2.5 rip though and not anywhere else in the rest of the movie.

The U.S rental has no menu so that is not a bug and has been conformed on another forum which will remain nameless

I just made my backup copy of UP with 6.2.0.5 Full disc and it burn just fine but when playing the backup in my DVD player I have no menu. When I press menu the video pauses for a split second and continues to play. There was a couple of glitches at the very start of the movie.

The ONLY way I was able to do the mive UP was the FULL DVD the 27-1 skips really bad no matter how many times I tried it. When I did the FULL DVD with the BETA stripper it worked OK. Just a heads up

Just updated to new 6.2.0.5 version of HD Decrypter and while scanning DVD source keep getting message that I need to renew or buy DVD to DVD or wait for a new version of HD Decrypter. Any idea on when a newer version after today's new version is going to release for us HD Decrypter users or are the freeware guys going to be waiting awhile or have to buy DVD to DVD?

Even with 6.2.0.2 ripping the whole movie, when I played the DVDFab backup, I noticed that at that very instance, my standalone DVD player would glitch, freeze ever so briefly, and then continue on with the film--while playing the same backup with PowerDVD9 and VLC on the PC did not exhibit any such glitch.

ok, update::: Downloaded the new version today (2.0.5)and redid UP. This time, 35 mins movie only, set all settings back to default, just to make sure and it did a clean copy that shrink was able to easily deal with. Plays smooth, appears to be in order (although I have not watched the movie yet..will post if that changes after the kids come home and watch it) size cam ei n at just over 4.7 instead of 10.

I did the exact same procedure as you've described--ignoring all errors, even though it seemed to play OK, I found that there are few seconds of the movie missing... The quite noticeable part is at the beginning--between the transition from chapter 1 to 2. One would not notice the missing portion if not viewed closely.

The entire running time of the movie when ripped with 6.1.2.5 was about 1:35:5?, while with 6.2.0.2 it is 1:36:05.

Hi, new to forum.
Beta 6.2.0.2 backed up my chapters fine with 27-1.
My SONY Bravia now flashes the movie symbol on and off now tho.
Never seen this before.
I am currently transfering the VOB's to NTSC VOB's using pulldown to correct.
Our SONY has red flashing problems on HDMI (which SONY can't fix) so I'm forced to do this as the component input doesn't suffer from this.
For more info, check the AVS forums....
I'll get back after the conversion is completed to report.

ok tried 6.2.0.2 beta FAILED at every turn no matter which "real" title track i tried.
50 1,2,and 3
31 1,2,and 3
27 1,2,and 3

no title track worked. tried full disc with and without pathplayer FAILED
tried movie only with and without pathplayer FAILED.

tried to rip and IMGBURN
tried to rip and DVD DECRYPTER DVD SHRINK DVD CLONE ANYDVD .....FAILED

NERO FAILED.

and i know i'm not supposed to mention RENT AND BURN but in the interest of trying every dang thing i could think of i even did that ........NOTHING.

WTF.

Full Version or Free version ?

Full bought version 6.2.0.2 works full disc on Win XP pathplayer enabled No Problem Here

I used the Beta (o.2)..it took 7 hours on my media workstation(quad core/4g ram/xp pro etc etc)..lol (let it run overnight..and no, nothing else was compiling at the time) full movie, it does play smoothly although I have yet to go through the whole movie to see if it's in order. The disturbing part is that the file is now over 10gig and can't be reauthored in Shrink (I normally remove everything, including credits,just leaving the movie, from the kid's movies to put on my media center machine so the kids can watch movies instantly and not handle discs). Did not change any of the settings for pathplayer or imgburn. Not intending to backup to disc, just hard drive for the media center.
Anyone else encounter this? Solution? Thanks
